It's here...

Yep, it's a snowy day here!
The kids could hardly wait to go play in it.
First getting suited to go outside is quite a process.
This is Ohana's first snow that she is aware of.

Not sure what to think of the gloves.

Struttin his snow stuff.

It's very pretty and tasty too.

Enjoying it so much even though she can't really walk in her gear.

Pumpkins are ready.

Fresh roasted seeds. Super yummy.

First fire.

Better than TV (almost).
I am really enjoying this day especially since I am still in my sweats and plan to stay that way.

24 hours in BV!

A little rest and relaxation was had in 24 hours in Buena Vista with our wonderful friends the Rices. They live here:

A sweet cabin off grid in the forest.

Both Andy and Boyd caught part of our dinner! Look at those fish!

A little time to put our feet up.

Admire the view.

Climb on tree stumps.

And play with rocks.
We did a little more, but you get the idea.
It was a good time had by all.
Thanks Ms. Rebecca and Mr. Andy and Pekoe! Can't wait til next time.

Family day at the Pumpkin Patch

Fall fun should always include a trip to the pumpkin patch.
That's where we spent our Tuesday this week!

Ready for pumpkin action!

My little pumpkins!

She tried, but they were just too heavy.

Climbing the haystack pyramid.

Sitting on cool tractors.

Digging in the cornbox.

Corn is slightly less messy than sand.

Quite the pair.

Daddy helping with the haystack slides.

Bowling!

And a cute petting zoo!

Fallesque 10 on 10 for October

The seasons are changing right before my eyes so today's ten on ten is capturing some of fall in my everyday routine.

Frost on the grass and this dandelion.

Sunlit pumpkin on my neighbor's front porch.

Practicing making faces at the breakfast table. (this is for you Granny)

Cute scarecrow seen on the way to the gym.

The view that caught my attention after my workout- snow on Pikes Peak.

The makings of my little girl's super hero Halloween costume- I'm so excited about this.

Her shoes... her big brother wore these first.

Nothing like a fall apple.

She asked me to put her in the bag.

The new bounty of antelope meat fresh from the processor.

As promised...

Remember the ugly blue carpet and the wall paper...

before

after with paint and new laminate floors

we can't wait for a fire in this cozy room

and the dining area with floral wall paper...

fresh paint, new light and bamboo window covers look better

this is the dinosaur room... not for our little girl

new paint and the decor from her room in our previous house

no before photo of the half bath downstairs but just imagine wall paper and yuck
now fresh light aqua paint, new rug and things hung on the wall... hopefully we will also put new linoleum tiles when we also do them in the kitchen and entry way.

So this is the beginning of the home make-over tour.
Our goal is to finish by the holidays in November... say a prayer we do finish!

Triple header- Bag Lady

My kids like to make random items into hats- really random things.

riding helmet

cooking cap

cute cheesy grin

Fall Festival- a Discovery!

Last weekend we went to Rock Ledge Farm's fall festival. It was 80 degrees and we were with our new friends from swim class.

All the kids on old farm equipment... not one is looking at the camera.

A 100 year old tree. It is hallow but still bears fruit.

Searching for candy hidden in the hay.

Straw bale maze

Turning the wheel to help with apple cider making.
It was fun to discover this new to us place with new friends.
