Round here...

This past week the weather was very spring-like!
So the Smiley's took the fun outside.

Snack and lunch

Digging! Lots of digging and getting VERY dirty.

Those pants are really navy blue.

This is his "mean" face he tells me.

She pushes that mower all over the yard- what a great $6 spent.

Climbing trees with dad.

So of course she has to go too!
We hope the warmer weather is here to stay.
No more snow please!!!!

28 weeks- the LAST trimester ever!

With only 12 more weeks to go, I do need to slow down a bit and reflect about being pregnant for the last time. I will try to savor all the little kicks, indulge the cravings within reason and embrace my ever growing belly for what it is: a space that is growing life.
Amazing.

Approximate weight gain: 25 lbs and so will probably gain the most weight with this last pregnancy. I have to be okay with that since I can't really change it. It is, what it is.
I'm blessed with basically easy pregnancies.

I am going to a chiropractor for the first time ever for the lower back and hip pain.
All my babies have given me the back pain. I think this is the first time with hip pain.
Still it is all one BIG miracle.
I'm still working out though doing more pilates and yoga, and less spin class and body pump- but that's OK.
Getting excited to see this little guy.

Who eats rutabaga?

I don't think I've ever seen a rutabaga. Who has?
Well baby is about that size. Weighing approx 1.5lbs.
Finally got my enchilada fix twice. So yummy!

Luckily Boyd has been making ranch from scratch so I can have it on demand as long as we have the ingredients in the house. Hooray for hubby!
I think nesting will be kicking in. I want to clean out things and start planning our 3rd and final nursery. Ikea will help with that.

She turned TWO in Austin!

Last week we were in Austin TX
Our friends the Richardson's graciously hosted us!
We explored the town with the kids and even went out 3 times without them. That's a record or something!
Here are the highlights:

At the children's museum downtown

Cooking in the wok like daddy does

In the BIG chair

Trains, trains, trains!

The big birthday girl! She is using full sentences all the time. She knows what she likes and what she doesn't. She refers to most of her clothes as "my pretty" and is very proud.
She sings a day long- my favorite.

She's keeping up with the big kids. She likes broccoli a lot right now and is still a good eater. She maybe weighs 20lbs. She is so sweet and asks where people she knows are at all the time.
She points out balloons, airplanes, big rigs and trash trucks- she does have an older brother after all. She wants laps and uppies all the time too. She can jump.

A visit to Pioneer Farm

Old tractors

Just a few animals to see

Old ranch houses with rocking chairs

Teepees

The train at the park downtown

Squeezable applesauce on the plane was a good idea!!!!
We would definitely go back again sometime.
We hope they come stay with us in Colorado too!!
