Rigel's Dedication

On July 27th we dedicated Rigel at our church. For those of you who don't know what that means here it the short and sweet. The dedication means that Dena and I vow to raise Rigel in the faith. We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and hope to live our lives in a way that Rigel would find Jesus attractive and choose to believe in Him too.

It was so great to have a bunch of our family and friends by our side and also standing up for Rigel. It has been said that it takes a village to raise a child and we are blessed to have a great village surrounding us. Thank you all!

Vacation at the Ranch!

We took our first multiple family vacation a couple of weeks ago (we've had a computer virus so we're late posting). Boyd's God parents have a 700 acre ranch in Cimarron CO. Packing for Rigel was easy... just bring it all! When he might go through several outfits and burp clothes each day it's the only way to pack. Rigel tried to carry his own bag but he's still a bit too small, maybe next year. Our friends the Dolenc's came too... Marin in just 1 month older than Rigel and they loved looking at each other. Lucie their 3 year old was so much fun too! We hope to make this an annual trip. Notice Rigel's outfit, red, white and blue... it was his first 4th of July though bedtime was too early for fireworks.

One of my favorite friends...

So this is my great friend "Paco" the blue dog. He is great because he can come everywhere with me and my parents don't have to feed him or clean up his poopies. I was doing some "tummy time" today and Paco was cheering me on! He also sits on the edge of my bassinette while I sleep to keep me company. I think we will have a long wonderful friendship and many adventures to come!

Chango or Big Dog?

Sometimes the outfit says it all! Rigel is my little Chango... what is that you say? Well a chango is a Spanish slang term for monkey so when I saw this little t-shirt, I couldn't resist. Many children in the mexican culture have this nickname, myself included.

The other outfit is probably more endearing to Boyd... the tough guy bulldog. Still very cute and how can you resist that smile!
